Greetings mighty hero, time to wild up with Earth Defense Force 2022 AD – the breakout sequel to EDF 5! It’s the year 2156 and earth is in terrible shape and you as a new EDF soldier are facing large alien creatures that won’t stop coming. It is an action game, which is played in the third-person perspective where role of the player is to destroy huge enemies and save the remaining part of the earth.

The plot begins in the year 2027 a few years after the first attempt at an alien invasion on Earth. It is getting so bad that only ten percent of the population survived, and situations are rather bleak. So, now you think – it is finished, but then the actual protagonist who has sparked the havoc is shown. It’s time to get down to business and save the Earth, buddy because now it is you’re humanity’s final chance.
